My Crafties

Hi...today it's all about ME. :D Well it's the theme this month for the Early Head Start playgroups, so why not for me too?

I love to knit and crochet. I'm not especially talented, and I don't make anything to sell. I tried that but didn't get any takers. May try again later, who knows.

Here is a picture of the halloween pumpkin bags I crocheted and felted for my boys. The one with green on it is the newer one, as I ran out of orange and had no choice. lol

(pattern from lions brand yarn at http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/80750AD.html, but you have to sign up to view and download it - which is FREE.)

My first passion is knitting, but pregnancy gave me the all to common carpel tunnel...so crochet is much easier on my hands. Just the same I found the socks I knit when I was pregnant with CW, in fact I wore them in the hospital. It made me long to knit socks, and I have the yarn for it too, so I'm really tempted.

Yesterday I started a crochet pattern for a lizard that uses crochet cotton. It's really too small for me and my big clumsy fingers so last night I came up with the idea to use worsted or sports weight yarn instead. It'll be a bigger lizard but it will let me practice the moves.

Cute cover! It's one of the reasons I enjoy chick-lit, the colorful and cartooney covers.
