Have you ever been really excited about a few things happening in your life, and then they all go to hell? That's the premise of this book. Grace is content. Her boys are in school full-time, she has an exciting new writing job that is perfect for her and fits her schedule and she has a happy marriage. Life is good.
Well the job disappears and her husband confesses to cheating. Now what? Does she try to fix her marriage, can she ever trust him again? And what about work? It wouldn't be so bad, but after her marriage trouble Grace really feels the need to get out of the house. But she wants to be there for her boys when they get home as well.
Personally I can relate to the job thing. It's all but impossible to get back in the workforce after taking time to raise your kids. We are told to put our family first and when we do we get punished later for it. If you can even get an interview they are like, "what have you been doing all this time?"
I loved this book. It is a well written tale that is never boring. And any mom out there will be able to relate to something in this story.
