The Monday Melee « fracas

The Monday Melee « fracas:

1. The Magnificent: Name someone you absolutely adore, and tell us why. My husband. We fell in love again this week. Those of you who have been married awhile probably know what I'm talking about. Where we just seem to click again and it's so nice. The other night we talked on the phone for almost 2 hours while he was having some "alone time" and then the next day we got lots of snuggles while the kids watched cartoons. And even today, we are still giving lots of hugs and kisses and just being nice to each other. It's been wonderful and I love him.

2. The Muddy: Tell us something about life you just don’t “get”. I don't get how a mother could leave her kids. Just walk out, sign over custody and not look back. I can't even imagine leaving my boys. I have a hard time doing it just to get out, much less on a permanent basis. And to add to that, when they say they never got to party or something lame like that...well who forced you to have kids anyway???

3. The Magnetic: Name something or someone good (or bad) you’re drawn to and you just can’t help it. Tell us if you want to change this or not. Facebook. God I spend way too much time on there checking up on everyone. I play Bejeweled, but mostly I"m there following status updates and posting my own. Got to get that into a set time. Maybe once in the AM and once in the PM. I should check my school one more like I do the Facebook so I don't fall behind on the discussions.

4. The Mainstay: Who or what is something you just can’t live without? Why? My boys. They are a positive joy in my life. Sure if I didn't have kids, as I noted the other night, I'd have more time and money, but would I be happy? I don't think I'd be as happy as I am with them. Watching them grow is by far the best thing I have ever done and I don't even care that I am poor because of it. I will die happy knowing I was there to see them grow into men.

5. The Masquerade: Tell us something about yourself we wouldn’t already know. When I was 5 I made my mom look like a kidnapper. I may have been 6. She was driving with a friend and she thought she was being witty and kicked me out of the car and told me to walk home. Turns out I get my stubornness from her...I told her "FINE!" and started walking. She told me to get back in the car and I refused. Just kept walking, her friend had to get out and man-handle me back in the car. I love that memory because she never did that again, as in she learned to be careful what she threatened me with because I may just take her up on it.

6. The Mettle: Tell us about a time you showed courage in yourself, or tell us what you wish you had the courage to do." See above. :)
