1. The Misanthtropic: Name something (about humanity) you absolutely hate.
I hate when people have to be mean about people who are on welfare, unemployment, disability and even just not making as much as they do. You know here's what the world would be if everyone made $250,000 a year. That salary would become the equivalent of $15,000 a year now. Or if you want to look at it like everyeone would be able to afford whatever they wanted, then who do you think will sell you stuff? Or serve your food? Hell even deliver your mail???2. The Meretricious: Expose something or someone that’s phony, fraudulent or bogus.
I can't name this person but it's someone my husband's life is currently tied to. It's someone that doesn't seem capable of telling the truth, or seeing it. This person can give loads of BS and actually beleives it, to the point of making really, really bad decisions that affect my family. I'm kind of done with it too.3. The Malcontent: Name something you’re unhappy with.
I'm unhappy with the amount of illness that Ivan seems to catch. He spends most of the winter sick. He just had the Croupe to a scary extent. I kept calling the doctor on Friday. Finally got him some meds, and that was a chore to get in him. He's doing better, which is good. But the poor baby lost 2 pounds in a week.4. The Meritorious: Give someone credit for something and name it if you can.
I want to credit my kids for making my life complete and meaninful. They are my world right now, and I love watching them, listening to them and even snuggling them at night. It really doesn't get any better than this, and that's what I need to remember when other stuff gets me down.5. The Mirror: See something good about yourself and name it.
Ok you can all laugh. but I've been losing weight and I noticed today my butt is tighter, smaller and just generally better. :D6. The Make-Believe: Name something you wish for.
I wish to get a job teaching at the University of Phoenix. It would be a fun way to make a little extra money. I just want to get through Ivans toddlerhood before going back to work full-time.
I'd like to welcome fracas back to blogging. She's been offline for a few weeks. Go check her out and you too can do the Monday Melee.
Great melee :-) I agree that it sucks that some have to down others for not having as much as others. Many of us are happy exactly where we are financially and don't need material things to feel good about our lives :-)
ReplyDeletePoor Ivan will keep him in my healing meditations
Yay! Celebrate that sexy butt!
