Book Review - Second Time Around

Today I am reviewing Second Time Around by Beth Kendrick.

The story revovles around 5 women who are all graduated English majors from the same college. They had been roommates, and after college while only one of them worked in their field, they all remained friends. And none of them has the life they wanted. One friend dies and leaves an inheritence to the remaining 4 that allows them to follow their bliss.

One of the women is married, but the rest have never had a serious relationship. They come back to their old house where they rented rooms in college, to help one of them who bought the house to turn into a Bed and Breakfast. One is writing a novel, one is becoming an event planner and one is working on baking/catering while figuring out what to do with her marriage.

They all discover parts of themselves they never knew existed. They find new talents, reawaken other parts and find exactly what was missing.

My favorite part was one of the women hooking up with the HOT english professor they all had the hots for in college (turns out he is only a few years older than them) - and you'll also discover his shameful secret.

I just found this book in the library and wasn't sure I would like it but the story pulled me right in. This author can tell a story! So go check it out, you won't regret it.
