OMG - I really loved this book. Well, more than I expected to. Bella isn't even the main character. This is Amy's story. Bella and Amy were the best of friends until something big happened when they were 18. They haven't really spoken since. And Amy feels so guilty for it. It was driving me crazy wondering what it was that Amy did.
Amy's parents were working poor, but there was lots of love in that house. Bella's parents were wealthy and addicted to their work, but there was little love in that house. Bella loved being at Amy's, where Amy's mom was always cooking up something great.
In this story, Amy's husband has just announced he is leaving her from little tart in his office. At first she is hurt and furious, but then she is relieved. They had a horrible marriage, right from the beginning. So isn't this better? But what really tips things in Amy's life, when she recognizes the recipes in Bella's new cookbook.
This was the last straw. Bella is going to listen to her no matter what it takes!
